Performing a factory reset on your Open qPCR will erase all data (logins, experiments, software updates, etc.) and restore the machine to factory condition. When possible, save your data by exporting your individual experiments prior to performing the reset.
To perform the factory reset:
-
Turn off your Open qPCR. Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables and unplug the Wi-Fi dongle.
-
Using a toothpick or unfolded paperclip, press the reset button through the small hole in the rear of the machine.
-
Continue to hold down the reset button and power on the Open qPCR. Keep the reset button held down for 30 seconds.
-
Release the reset button. Leave the machine powered on for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the device will reboot and the Open qPCR logo will be displayed on the LCD screen.
-
The device is now configured in the manner it was when you first received it. You may now reconnect via USB or Ethernet and create a new account. Calibrate the Open qPCR and perform any required software updates before running your next experiment.
